"This full-bodied varietal was created through 9 months of fermentation in 20% new French oak barrels combined with 100% malolactic fermentation. The resulting Chardonnay is rich, complex, well rounded and full of ripe fruit and crisp acidity. This wine bursts with aromas of apricot, pineapple, Asian pear, as well as, sweet vanilla and butterscotch.
Buttery, toasted-oak aromas, bolstered by more oak spices, and a smooth, rather soft texture.
It's the Helix closure, which is the result of a partnership between cork company Amorim and glass manufacturer O-I. When the Helix cork is inserted into the bottle, the natural elasticity of the cork means that it forms helical grooves in contact with the internal thread in the bottle neck. Helix enables wine consumers to open the bottle simply by holding and twisting the cork stopper. After opening, the bottle can be closed with the same convenience."
In 2019, Longevity was named 2018 Livermore Valley Winery of the Year.
