Tenuta Il Falchetto Bricco Paradiso Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG
"The Fornos have a long history in Santo Stefano Belbo, documented as early as the mid-1600’s. Still today, maps of the area show the Forno farmstead, also known as Il Falchetto Estate.
Santo Stefano Belbo is located on the orographic right of the Tanaro river, between the provinces of Cuneo and Asti, between the Langhe and Monferrato. These are two of the most important wine-growing areas of Piedmont, which partly became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. The hills of the Langhe are made up of long ridges that emerged from an ancient marine gulf aligned in a north-south direction separated from each other by streams that head to the Tanaro basin. Those of Monferrato are gentle hills, with soft slopes in which fresh valley floors and ridges irradiated by the sun alternate.
The wine is bright ruby red wine with aromas of cherry, blackberry and raspberry along with mint, spicy and coffee notes. Full body and abundant with a persistent finish. A very Classy Barbera"
