Ensconcedin a beautiful green valley in Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise, the Chateau de Chamilly is an impressive estate located 20 minutes south of Beaune. It was built during the 17th century by Noël Bouton (lieutenant general of the armies of King Louis XIV, Governor of Strasbourg and Marquis of Chamilly), on the foundations of a 14th century fortified farm. Les burnins is named after the Benedict monks of Cluny who, dressed up in their "bure" dresses, worked this parcel known as one of the best in the area.
